Throughout her career Sarah Lucy has been performing a variety of repertoire, including popular and light, jazz,
folk and musical theatre. With an excellent grounding in musicianship and vocal technique, she is a highly versatile performer and easily adapts to different genres.
During her time spent in York she performed with a number of student ensembles, primarily Vox (the award-winning
a cappella group), Harmony Line (the musical theatre concert ensemble), the Opera Society and the Little Red Dot Independent theatre company.
She has been a member of the nationally-acclaimed Hessle Theatre Company since joining in 2009, and has recently completed their recent production, The Wedding Singer (Sklar), as Musical Director. Their current project, for which she is co-MD, is the musical Shrek (Tesori) which was intended to be performed in April 2020 at the Hull New Theatre, and has been postponed due to the Coronavirus.
Her previous productions with the company include Sweeney Todd (Sondheim), Jane Eyre (Gordon) and Made in Dagenham (Arnold). Some of Sarah Lucy’s other theatrical credits include Simon Zealotes, Jesus Christ Superstar (Lloyd Webber), Stepmother, Into the Woods and Ms. Désirée Armfeldt, A Little Night Music (both by Sondheim).
Sarah Lucy is as at home on the stage as she is in the concert hall, and can assuredly bring the highest level of professionalism possible wherever she performs.
